Chief of the Joint
Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Al-Huneiti visited on Monday the Al-Hussein
Main Workshops Command of the Royal Maintenance Corps, where he was welcomed by
the Director of the Corps and the Commander of the Workshop.
Al-Huneiti was briefed
by the commander of the workshops on their tasks and duties, in addition to the
efforts they provide in supporting the units and formations of the Armed Forces
and the continuous efforts in maintaining and modernizing military equipment
and vehicles to enhance their combat capabilities and enable them to
effectively perform their tasks in various field conditions.
In the presence of a
number of senior army officers, Al-Huneiti toured the Production and
Restoration Division, where he was briefed on the stages of rebuilding and
restoring the Al-Hussein tank and other weapons through the rehabilitation of
equipment and mechanisms in order to enhance their operational efficiency with
the best economic feasibility and the highest level of reliability.
The army chief lauded
the Royal Maintenance Corps Directorate’s distinguished professionalism and
advanced level achieved in the fields of military manufacturing and
maintenance, stressing that these efforts contribute significantly to facing
challenges and conducting missions with high efficiency, in addition to
ensuring their readiness to deal with various scenarios and future challenges.
Al Hussein Main
Workshops is a military industrial facility that was inaugurated on May 8, 1985
on an area of 1200 dunums, which includes an integrated infrastructure, in
which specialized modern industrial equipment, machines, and systems
manufactured locally are used, and its main and sub-groups undertake the
maintenance, development, modification and reconstruction of many armored
vehicles and systems operating in the armed forces
