It is a community college
established in 1949 under the name "Mechanics School." It is academically affiliated with Al-Balqa Applied University
and administratively and technically affiliated with Royal Maintenance Corps
Directorate. It holds general and special accreditation from the Higher
Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission and grants a diploma
(associate degree) in five engineering specialties and in warehouse management.
The college also works to develop the technical and leadership skills of
officers through their participation in specialized technical courses.
Additionally, the college qualifies individuals in technical specializations at
the vocational training level, annually provides Jordan Armed Forces - Arab
Army and the forces of friendly countries with academically, technically, and
militarily qualified technical personnel, these qualifications are certified by
the Center for Accreditation and Quality Control at the Ministry of Labor.
The college carries out its training duties through several different
programs:
Academic and Technical Education Program (Diploma):
The college grants a diploma in engineering and administrative
specializations to students who fulfill the graduation requirements and
successfully pass the associate
degree examination supervised by Al-Balqa Applied University, which is
supervised by Al-Balqa Applied University over a two-year academic period.
The Engineering Program, which includes the following specializations:
- Maintenance
of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.
- Computerized Manufacturing
Technology.
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
- Heavy Vehicle Autotronics.
- Hydraulic Systems in Heavy
Vehicles.
The Administrative Program, which includes the following specialization:
During the study period, technical projects are implemented to
demonstrate the students' creative abilities and the extent to which they have
benefited from the skills acquired during their studies, under the supervision
of engineering instructors. Top-ranking graduates in each specialization are sent to Jordanian universities to
complete their university studies to obtain a bachelor's degree, according to
the bridging program conditions in the universities.
Vocational and Military Training Program (Technicians):
This program grants a professional practice certificate accredited by the
Accreditation and Quality Control Center in the Ministry of Labor. It is
conducted within Royal Maintenance Corps to qualify maintenance technicians in all
technical specializations, starting from foundational technical training
and progressing to professional-level expertise and comprehensive theoretical
and practical knowledge in the specific specialization. The college issues certificates for technical
courses across all maintenance-related trades within the Royal Maintenance Corps, and classifies trainees according to
their deserved technical grade, based on the professional classification
standards used in the Vocational Training Corporation and approved by the
Directorate of Personnel Affairs.
In addition, the program adopts a practical training
system during the course and an On-the-Job Training (OJT) system after the
course completion in the Royal Maintenance Corps workshops, the vocational
training program includes refresher courses for vehicles and equipment newly
introduced into the Armed Forces, conducted by qualified instructors. The
training process is enriched by providing armored and wheeled training vehicles
from those in service within Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army, as well as
training aids, dissection models, and laboratories to ensure professional
training and a focus on the practical aspect. The following are the courses
