PRINCE FAISAL MAIN WORKSHOP


An industrial military facility featuring an integrated infrastructure and utilizing modern specialized industrial equipment, machinery, and systems for the repair, rebuilding, and modernization of wheeled military vehicles.

Date

Establishment of the Main Workshops of the Arab Army (Date of Establishment: July 1, 1946).

1946

It was named the Central Workshops of the Arab Army.

1956

It was named Prince Faisal Main Workshops in commemoration of the birth of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Hussein on November 10, 1963.

1963

The Armored Vehicles Division (A) separated to form Al-Hussein Main Workshops.

1985

Separation of the Electronic Equipment Division to form the Electronic Equipment Workshops

1986

Separation of the Eastern Weapons Division to form the Eastern Weapons Workshops

1989

The Eastern Weapons Workshops and the Engineering Equipment Workshops were dissolved, and the Zarqa Central Workshops were restructured.

Prince Faisal Main Workshops were assigned fourth-line maintenance duties for Eastern and Engineering vehicles.

 Duties

  • Overhaul/Preparation and rebuilding of wheeled vehicles and their assemblies, with the exception of what assigned to other workshops.
  • Locally manufacturing all required materials upon approval from the Directorate of the Royal Maintenance Corps.
  • Implementation of approved technical modifications to vehicles.
  • Support of electronic shooting ranges.
  • Repair of sights, compasses, welding machines, jacks, drills, and all types of specialized tools up to the fourth-line maintenance level.
  • Perform base repairs for light and medium weapons, and repairs from the first up to the third line for weapons exceeding the repair capabilities of technical units in the field.
  • Fee-Based Repair Services
  • Planning programs and work for the main and sub-assemblies of vehicles, in coordination with the Programs and Statistics Division of the Directorate of the Royal Maintenance Corps.
  • Participation in the Central Recovery group, according to the instructions of the Directorate of the Royal Maintenance Corps

Production Machinery:

The latest metal forming machinery (lathes, milling machines, shapers, etc.), in addition to mechanical repair equipment and local manufacturing equipment (welding shop, carpentry shop, foundry).
